Virtual Gala: Carnivale at the Venitian Palace
UCP of Central Florida’s Gala is an annual black-tie fundraising event where sponsorship and auction proceeds support programs and services. Due to COVID-19 at the time of the event, the 2021 Gala was converted into a virtual broadcast fundraiser with an online Silent Auction component. UCP partnered with UCF’s FIEA program to produce the televised event.
The theme for the event was “Carnivale at the Venetian Palace,” centering on Italy’s eccentric Carnivale events. At the time of this event, my role was to create all the branding assets, including visual content for both print and digital platforms, photoshoot coordination and editing, social media graphics, and video production graphics. The 2021 fundraiser marked my fifth year of involvement with event production and my second year of involvement with the virtual transition of the event.

The Purple Shirt design was based on the Annual Award that is presented to the Champion for Children Honoree. This award was redesigned into a shirt and distributed to all UCP Agency Team Members honoring them for their perseverance and dedication to the children and families during COVID-19. The program was also dedicated to all UCP team members.
The Berry Shirt was designed for all present Production volunteers and UCP team members who assisted during the setup and breakdown of the set design and televised broadcast.
The Royal Blue Polo was designed for all present Production volunteers and UCP team members to be worn during the night of the televised production.
