Development Department: Initiatives & Minor Events
The UCP Development team has a wide array of other programs and smaller events throughout the year that helps raise funding or allow an opportunity for stakeholders and community members to be involved. Some of their events and initiatives include Book Buds, Food Pantry Program, Lake Scary 5K, Help for the Holidays, YEC, and the Volunteer Hero Program.
Semi Annual Book Buds
Book Buds is a Semi-Annual opportunity for the Central Florida community members to tour one of UCP’s campus locations, learn about UCP’s mission to Unlock Children’s Potential, and then engage in an hour of reading and play with one of the classes.
Help for the Holidays & Food Pantry Support
Help for the Holidays is an annual initiative where Central Florida community members can support UCP by adopting families nominated by the campuses.
Volunteer Hero Program
UCP’s Volunteer Hero Program allows the parents of students, friends, and members of the community the opportunity to be an integral part by offering supportive services to UCP’s children and staff.
